  • The biggest power is from finbro. Because it has a big bore head. 181 take, 13-14hp. 183 finbro 18-19hp.

    You pay your money take your choice. For me if you're going to get into bbk you might as well go all the way.

  • id rather go with what i know to be quality and thats takegawa and you can actually go see ben at his shop, not knocking e finbro gear though.

  • I wouldn't knock FinBro's quality. I put 5,000 miles on my 208cc kit in about 3 months. I also found his service to be excellent. I should also add that I've never got round to buying from Ben, so I'm not knocking his service :) I can say that the FinBro kit with replacement ECM (rather than a tuning box) ran perfectly out of the box, and didn't need an oil cooler, even on long full power runs (i.e. crusing on motorway wipe open throttle at about 78-80mph for almost an hour non-stop.

  • The main issue seems to be using a tuning box on the stock ecu, it only works at certain rpm, and tends to run hot. FinBro use a completely different ecu (so no tuning box) and it tends to run rich and hence cool, so no oil cooler needed either.

  • oh, any joy on getting better clutch springs? Even the extra stiff FinBro ones weren't strong enough to stop my 215cc engine slipping its clutch on fast shifts or when giving it the beans.
