Hey I'm almost positive I have a vacuum leak and possible slow jet block. The bike won't idle below half choke without stalling out. It idles at half choke pretty high unless it's slowing down then it stalls. I can drive it idling high and it seems okay driving. I have felt air coming out by the carb and it looks like the carb fitting on the boot to the engine block isn't set right. Are there any tips to making the carb set properly in the boot? I have a 1986 Honda Rebel 450.

The boots are no longer available. Used only.
With that are you sure they are 450 boots. Without looking.
I have them I just can't get the carb seated properly
Not sure what you mean seated properly
This is an older picture before I cleaned it but where the carb connects to the boot that is mounted on the engine it isn't seated all the way. It doesn't seem like wiggling it or moving it is doing much of anything.
It should seal once you tighten the clamps. And the breather boot should help line it all up.
Mm2r and mm2l are the correct boots. Which your are correct.
