2005 Honda CRF250X,Plated — HONDA CRF Dirt Bikes ONLY

Up for sale (no trades) is Veteran owned a 2005 Honda CRF250X that has a clear title and is tagged for street use.

Only 10 hours (+ or - 30 minutes) run time since complete professional servicing (fluids, filters, etc),new brakes,chain/sprockets,and rear tire. Engine was completely rebuilt (top and bottom end) from the crankshaft up with 34-36 hours run time since . Hours/miles will go up as I ride it (including to work some as well). Bike's previous owner is a professional bike mechanic, who was able just thi sweek to find the receipts for the complete rebuild I mentioned.

Runs strong (would easily outrun the stock 2008 CRF250X that I used to own),and is dependable. Price is pretty firm (it's less than what I have in it),so please don't waste our time with low-ball offers, though I would accept an offer that's pretty close. I'm not in any kind of bind/desperate for cash, and don't need help selling it. I'm thinking about saving to pay cash for a brand new bike,so if it doesn't bring close to what I'm asking,I'll just keep and ride it. Thanks for looking, and have a great day :)

2006 crf250 — HONDA CRF Dirt Bikes ONLY

Fully rebuilt has 6.5 hrs on the rebuild right now, valves were done right before I bought it last year had the paperwork for them but I've since lost it. Kibble white valves and new springs. New rear tire with 6.5 hours on it. Front tire is like new probably has about 15 hours on it. New rad hoses, oil changed and air filter cleaned every 5 or 6 hours. Has new 14 tooth front sprocket also have a brand new 48 tooth rear that I used for one ride and didn't like so I went back to the 51 tooth that's on it. Rebuild was oem bottom end and 13.5:1 cp piston. Could use a new clutch basket but I put new clutches in it in August. Put an hour meter on it when I rebuilt it, it does need rejetted for the high comp piston other than that the bike runs flawlessly. Could use a new set of plastics rear fender is cracked a little as well as the front where it mounts to the bike. Suspension was done by srs for a 180 rider before I got it. Don't really need to sell but I'm considering upgrading to a fuel injected Honda. NO TRADES. Unless it's a 2010 or newer crf250 lol. I am still riding the bike so the hours will continue to increase. Like I said I'm not dying to sell it just seeing what kind of offers I'll get. Also will add better pics tonight I thought I had a few but I don't.

I really need some help... I have an 05 crf250x. I have had it for over half a year now and I just can not get it to run right! I have rebuilt the car a few times, taken it apart countless times, checked the valves 3 times, and only ridden it for maybe an hour because it always overheats because it runs so lean! When I pull the hot start it bogs and the choke makes it rev up. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Looking some info I bought a 2006 crf450r that was advertised as locked up — HONDA CRF Dirt Bikes ONLY

Looking some info, I bought a 2006 crf450r that was advertised as locked up. Well I get it home and kicker will move but it's really hard to kick. I go ahead and pull plug out and it turns over fairly easy. Checked exhaust valves have about .011-.013" lash. So I check timing. When I have the TDC mark on right side lined up the flywheel marks aren't lined up neither are the cam marks. If I line up the flywheel marks then the cam is lined up. Any idea why the TDC mark and flywheel wouldn't line up? Also, what should be the gap between the rocker arm and the decompression arm?

2015 crf250r engine help!! Okay guys so I wanting to install a stage 2 hot cam with a high compression piston. Im not too experienced with the whole valve shimming thing. I have manual and have been trying to find videos before I tore any deeper. My questions now are one do I record the clearances with the stock cam and or how would I go about adjusting to the new cam? Another question is I see the manual has a cam chain tensioner tool that I'm supposed to use? Then in videos I've seen people use a screw driver and vice grips? Kinda lost here at the moment. Dont wanna hear take it to a dealer either.. Nobody was born with this knowledge

2009 Honda Crf250r — HONDA CRF Dirt Bikes ONLY

Great bike, i have only ridden it a handful of times. Im the second owner and the original owner barely rode it as well. Powerful, quick and very responsive bike. It is barely starting atm due to siting around for about 5-6 months and due for a good carby clean.

    Just been serviced

    New back tyre

Asv aftermarket brake and clutch leavers

    T4 Pro Circuit pipe

This bike needs nothing more then a carby clean to be ready to go. Only selling due to needing a bigger family car.

Open to all reason offers around $3000

So I've got a 2005 CRF 70 that I've torn apart for repair/restoration. I want more power out of it and after looking around for a little while I stumbled across the Lifan 125cc engine that bolts directly into the frame of my CRF. I don't know what shape my motor is in, but based on how the rest of the bike is I'm confident that it's not great. Is anyone running one of these? Everyone seems to have glowing reviews online and the price is good. I'm also wanting semi-auto since this is just for screwing around on,but if you're running a manual I'd like to know what you think of it.

Alright so I recently got this 2003 XR50r from a friend and it had been sitting...

Alright, so I recently got this 2003 XR50r from a friend, and it had been sitting a long time. I think it had been sitting for 6 or 7 years. So I got it and he wanted to see it run so I cleaned the carb and the tank and drained all oil and put new in. It started and ran, but one day I was out riding it and the chain came off the sprocket and broke the case and the magneto off. Of course, it sat for another year or so with no gas in it.

While it did run, it would start after 5 or six kicks and I had to spray either in the carb. It would then rev up real high if you didn't put it into gear because the revs were all the way up. If I turned them down the bike would die and not run at all.

So I recently got it back out and put a whole new Rmstator on it and a new case cover. cleaned everything out once again, and I have spark and I think gas. Anyway I kicked and kicked and kicked, but nothing happens I pulled the plug and it is a little wet when I pull it out but still has spark.

My friend thinks I need a new carb and spark plug, and I was also thinking the same thing. But I thought i might ask here before I pour anymore money into this thing. Any help would be appreciated.

    2005 CRF450r

I have a 2005 CRF450R, it's been ported, bored to 488, and I've got a Boyesen Quickshot on the carb, and a full FMF exhaust system. I can't seem to kick it to start it, but I can bump it after a couple of tries, I know nothing about working on the bike, I had a local shop owner do all my work, the other day I had it running but it wouldn't seem to idle without stalling, then after about 5 minutes of keeping it running it leaked all the coolant out and stalled, any info on what might be wrong or what I need to do would help, thanks, this bike has been a nightmare since I bought it.

Traded my beloved 2008 CRF250X to a friend today (with a little cash to him). It just had more things that I wanted to do to it than budget would allow (mostly wants, not needs). I won't miss it,tho, cause I traded it for another CRF250X,LMAO! This one's a 2006,but its only got 33 hours (confirmed) on a complete rebuild, has most of the upgrades done that I wanted to do to my '08 (cam,valves,porting\etc,

Litz Racing tuned suspension, etc),with the biggest improvement being mine came with "Offroad Use Only" paperwork, and this is titled\plated and dual sport ready (I'll transfer a plate I ran on my old Shadow tomorrow). So happy right about now

    05' crf450r crank

This came out of my crf450r, still a good crank, rod bearings are good, only visible wear is on rod end for the wrist pin but side to side play is within spec with new pin. Still should have lots of life left. Only reason I did it is because I took out all bearings, seals and did a fresh top end.... Might as well make it new so I put in a crank. Ok guys. I need your help. I race hare scrambles on a 2013 crf250r. It has a total of 105 hrs as far as I know. With hs I need to do a dead engine start. My issue is with my bike staring first kick. I had the valves adjusted not long ago and when I right after it was done I didn't notice a large increase in ease of starting. Would a new spark plug help? I have tried different starting procedures. Letting it warm up, go to the line, in the last row. So by the time it's my turn to go off, it has cooled some and should be easier to start. I have tried starting it right before with no luck. The top end has about 50 hrs on it. I was waiting until June or may to do it since the season will be over. I also run 93 octane. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Okay quick question, so I tore my 04 crf250r down and put in new rings and shimmed my valves( all in spec) got her all back together and in time. Take it outside to crank her up, no go! Kick til can't breath, got a few back fires. Can push it off and it will run but when you pull in the clutch it dies. I think I might have narrowed it down to clutch plates sticking or cleaning the carb. Would like some of ya'll knowledge on the matter. It sat 3 months while I was working on it. Thank you in advance

I was wondering what my best bang for buck mods are for a little more power:

Bike is stock apart from stage II hotcams and stainless valves, accel pump o ring mod.

Does removing the air scoop from top of airbox make a decent difference i think im hearing induction noise when im up it which tells me it could do with more airflow.

    Any help appreciated

I have a 2014 450x with the airbox mod, no toil super flow with screen removed, emissions block off, 450r muffler, NCVS needle on 3rd clip, R&D fuel screw(1.75). Stock leak and pilot jets, I was running a 165 main but now a 168. The bike runs good and has lots of pull, but there is a lot of decel pop with a scatter big back fire with blue flame and the bike seems to over heat faster since I put on the slip on. I ride mostly at sea level, What do you guys recommend? Or should I just buy a jet kit? TIA

So I took my 09 Crf 450 for a rip up the street the other day, bike heat seized/hydrolocked there is now gas in my oil. Would gas in the oil effect the internal bearings? What should I do. I had seen in a forum online to pour in some tranny fluid to soak turn it over let it sit a bit then drain it. And insert fresh oil. What would of caused the bike to do that?

Ims coolant recovery tank vs. motion pro? I read that the ims tank will recycle the old coolant back into the engine, or radiator. It also looks easier to mount and takes up less space. The motion pro one I don't think will work the spilled coolant into the radiator again. Any insight?

Since then it's been sitting at my mechanics shop he tore it apart and supposedly had head ported/ polished, anyone interested in whole for $3000 had 30hrs on it. Tons done to it full exhaust, chain sprocket kit, 3" racing radiators, hammerhead accessories, Renthal bars, new tires, have a new black Excell rim and much more thanks.

Hey guys! ive got a 13 crf 250r. its got about 88 hours on it.. About 25 on the topend. I recently got it. So its pushing some oil out if the head gasket and the base gasket... Not a lot but enough to attract some dirt.. doesnt leak when sitting and it just on the gasket, like it doesnt leak down the motor.. What am i looking at? is this normal? Should i be worried?

He guys. Here is my 07 450x. I feel it's time for a top end before I need one. I am very mechanically inclined and willing to try to do my own top end. On the other hand I own a business and never seem to have enough time. Is there ball park at a reputable company price rates for a top end job?
