My reverse quit working. Could this be the shift angle sensor? Where is it located?

    • Working off and on it might just need the cable adjusted.

    • But I have a GR so Idk if that has something to do with it or not.

    • I've got it ziptied so that I can just shift down instead of hitting the button. How do you adjust it.

    • Zip tied at the lever or.down on the motor?

    • Back of the motor.

    • Check and make sure it didn't loosen a little and not.pulling the lever quite enough. If it's pulling it all the way check the reverse sensor wire and make sure it's making a good connection.

    • Mine is plugged up should I try to unplug it and plug it back in

    • Roy Stevicks

    • Unplug it and take a look at it. You should be able to run a jumper wire to it and ground and it should shift.

    • To the actual sensor on the motor or the wire?

    • To the wire. When the cable is pulled it moves the reverse shaft in motor and sends a ground signal (through sensor and wire) to the ecm so it knows it can shift into reverse. If the connection, wire or sensor is bad the ecm won't get the signal. Grounding the wire should help narrow down if that is the problem area or not.

    • So where do all 4 jumper cable wires go?

    • Roy Stevicks I unplugged it where do I put the 2 positives and negatives on the jumper wires?
