For those of you who may be interested in an excellent dual exhaust setup for the VT1100C3. Scott Rong developed these several years ago, and a couple of us have contacted him. He's willing to have some new kits made, and has asked that anyone interested to please contact him directly via email. These YouTube videos show how they look and sound.

Scott's email address is: wsrong44(AT)msn(DOT)com

With any luck, a bunch of us will be running new duals on our Aeros very soon!

Hi. Need to know the best seat to sit closest to the controls. I am buying an 08 Aero and it has a Mustang Wide Vintage seat on it. Its way too big for me, too much space in between my back and the rear of the seat. Any suggestions on a shorter seat that sits closer to the bars- stock seat? Anyone use a Saddlemen Saddlehyde Explorer Special Seat-looks alot closer (seat pic on red bike)? I will be selling my Mustang/Passenger with backrest as soon as I get the bike.

Check out the Velocity Stack I ordered from TJ BRUTAL CUSTOMS... I usually like to make everything myself because I'm cheap and I like to waste time but this was a must have purchase!!!

Tommy did an amazing job on this piece and offers it for a bunch off different bikes (single and dual carb) and in a variety of finishes as well as brass. He is a one man show but still answeres your questions and will make custom stuff for your application.

I also got my fork seals and steering/neck bearings from him. They are made by All Balls Racing and are far superior in construction as compared to stock. Next order will be wheel bearings, another Velocity Stack for a project bike I am building for someone and his VHS Tape that "Teaches your Grandmother how to suck Eggs!) Also available in BETA format for those of you who missed the boat back in the 80's!

I spent countless hours wet sanding and polishing my fork tubes, carburetor and triple trees since I had everything apart... Still not done but I'm putting it back together or this thing will never see the light of day!!! I ran out of buffing wheels, 2500 grit and my Dremil finally quit (it actually caught fire and I didn't notice right away due to all the cigarette smoke)

I bought a beautiful 2000 Aero back in 2009. I loved that motorcycle, but in 2013, I stupidly sold it to get a big, powerful VTX1800T. When I came to my senses, I sold the VTX, and bought my current 1999 Aero in February, 2015. Originally, my goal was to set it up as close as I could to the way my wife's Aero is, the idea to have them be "twins." Over time, my plan changed, and I decided to dress my '99 as much like my 2000 was before I sold it. It has been fun searching for the chrome and accessories, and I've installed a few things my 2000 never had, but overall, the experience has been very satisfying. Here's a comparison of my "old" Aero and my "new" one. I hope you all are having as much fun playing with and riding your Aeros as I have, and I enjoy this page, seeing what everyone else is doing. Ride safe and have fun!

I haven't rode my 1998 1100 much in the last few years. I didn't do anything to store it other than top off the gas and start it a few times over he winters. In the spring I would usually drag it out, add some seafoam and jumpstart it to life. After a few warm up rides around the block it would usually run just fine.

This year I am having more trouble than in the past. I refilled he tank with fresh gas. Added some seafoam, cleaned and then replaced the spark plugs and have a set of jumper cables hooked up for continuous juice. The bike is turning over, but it won't try to fire up.

So... what should I do next?

UPDATE: now the peacock assembly is brand new. I start the bike with the chock fully open seems to idle fine but then a few mins later when I push the chock in the bike wants to like shut off or idles pretty rough... any suggestions what else can it be???

To anyone belonging to this group that owns and rides a 750 or 1100 Aero, you do yourself a great disservice if you haven't checked out The Shadow Aero 750 forum and the All Aero forum. They're both sponsored by Delphi Forums. It's all free, just create an account. I've only been a member of this group for a short time and I see repeatedly questions asked that have already been answered on the forums. They have folders chocked full of useful information. There are some very knowledgeable and friendly folks that will jump right in to help with questions. Some of those same people are members of this group. I frequent both forums often. Check them out.

So as most of you know I recently purchased a 2009 Honda Shadow Aero 750 with 1500 miles from an older couple, great condition but today while I was doing an oil change I notice slight fuel drip (while bike was running) from the petcock. Anyone had an issue like that before? Would it be an option o ring or gasket? Or would I need to replace the whole petcock unit?

word of caution to all on this page about the Kawasaki Vulcan 500. For the second time I've dropped the bike on gravel, the other day with no input on handlebars the front wheel slid out from under the bike at less than 5mph. This is not a problem with my 750 aero it seems to handle the gravel a lot better probably due to extra weight and slightly bigger tires. I like the Vulcan 500 as it's a pepier bike and loads of fun. Minor dings to the tank, none to me due to (AGATT)All Gear All The Time. The vulcan 500 almost has to much front rake for it's size, good on paved road, not so much on gravel. I only write this to say I haven ridden the vulcan and what I now know about it would not recommend it to a new rider that would have to deal with gravel roads on a daily basis.

                          Question...or two..

My bikes been sitting since november as i dont like the cold at all,its running a little rough, could it be from sitting and the battery is dead ? Or needs to be serviced after sitting, had just had it serviced before the cold set in,im new to all this and im in panic mode as this is my baby.

Also, some of the screws n bolts have a little rust, didnt know the brand new $150 cover had a hole,im so upset as my bike was showroom floor clean, is there somebody or thing that i can get it back to where it was before?

Its bad enough my dog got mad at the noise and chewed the fender yesterday because he hates the loud noise and got pissed after i shut it down and went inside.

Im making myself physically sick over these issues...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A few weeks ago someone in this group asked about a roadside flat repair. We talked about plugs but we all pretty much agreed that if your tires had tubes you were pretty much out of luck. I posted that I kept a tube of slime and a 12v compressor just to make me feel better and I really didn't think it would work. On my way home from work this morning guess what, had a flat 26 miles from the house. So I figured I would try the slime and lo and behold it worked. I drove 26 miles with no problems. Can't believe it worked. So, if you don't have any slime I recommend getting some. Time to take the rear wheel off and go get a new tube. Here's a pic of the nail so you can get an idea of the size of the hole.

Hi Everyone...I was out for a ride today and stopped to help a jogger who fell while running. She had some cuts and scrapes at which time I realized I do not have a first aid/medical kit on my bike. Needless to say, I need one and want to see if there is a certain brand/kit that is recommended. Any advice sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

Having some electrical problems. I have a 1998 Aero (VT1100C3). I have been continually blowing the Turn Signal/Brake Light/Horn fuse. I've traced everything, and can't seem to find any bare wires. The bulbs and sockets are all good and clean. Anyone know much about the switches or the horn? I blew 4 fuses today (all the same fuse, replaced a few times). I did notice the horn was shorting out when I hit the button. So, I disconnected the horn, taped the ends, and rode with no problems. But, since the horn doesn't get constant power, I'm guessing the problem may be in the switch, if that's even the problem (I honestly don't know if that's it, or if it just happened to be coincidence, since it doesn't happen all of the time). Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Thank you.

Hello friends. I know I'm not one of the more vocal members of the group, but I want to share with you that back on October 23rd, my wife and I had the unpleasant experience of watching a car pull out of a side street when we were only feet away. I was able to a collision by laying the bike down. In ascending order the bike was totalled; I suffered a concussion, (helmet on), partially separated shoulder, bruised ribs, severely bruised hip and ankle; my wife has a hairline fracture to her fibula, minor fractures to 3 vertebra and torn ligaments throughout her pelvis. We are very thankful that our injuries were not more severe and in time we will both make full recoveries.

While we don't know what the future may hold for us, we do know that for the foreseeable future our riding days are over.

Please stay tuned here as I begin to post for sale/trade items I no longer have use for; cleaning supplies, riding gloves, helmets, shop manual and misc. parts.

                                    Be careful out there!

What do you guys carry for emergency tire repair? We've got spoked rims and tubes. That means removing a wheel in case of a puncture. Do you carry any kind of stand or something similar? Maybe someone has an experience fixing a flat on the side of the road himself? Calling road assistance is good, but what about trying to fix yourself?
