I just bought my first bike...a 2005 Aero...with only 1200 miles! Thanks for the ad to the group and all of the great information...you all helped me make my decision. I have already ordered a few pieces for it. I am so excited!!!!

  • My girl just got the Mustang seat with backrest and said the backrest helps considerably.

  • I just ordered the bags you have on your bike...and the highway bars as well.....do you like the bags? Which size did you order, medium or large? Ronald Pidgeon.... mustang seat is on my list!

  • I would consider the backrest a must on your seat. The bags are large. If you use the stock holes your bags will stick up above the fender. We picked the height wanted and put a cloth over the exhaust to sit a 3x3 piece of wood to keep the bag level and then marked for the holes. Make sure you have enough room to drill without hitting metal bag bracket on the inside, and alowing for bolts and washers. Once holes are drilled you put the drilled bag back to back on the table with your second bag and mark your second bag by using pen to go through the holes on the drilled bag onto the undrilled bag so they will be the same on both bags. It's easier to drill the exhaust side first so you can rest the bag on the exhaust with a 2x4 or 3x3 or 4x4 which ever you desire. This is how we did ours because we didn't like the bags up high. If you decide to lower the bags both Maria or I would be glad to help you out by phone. What a great bike you have. Great choice!

  • Oh, Stacy. Call Viking bags and ask them to send you the right bolts for your bag. Many have complained that the bolts don't fit the fender stay nuts. If they don't they will reimburse you for the cost of new ones. You might want to use the stock holes first and see if you like them.

  • Felicidades

  • Congratulations, Stacy!

  • Welcome to the club same scoot as myself

  • wellcome from egypt

  • Stacy be sure to leave two inches clearance above the exhaust also you can pick up some aluminum coated tape at you local Home Depot or Lowe's to put on the bottom of the bag on the exhaust side it helps a lot to keep it cool.
