I've always wandered why people swap the stock bars for bars that look virtually identical but with the brace across them... What's the difference?

    • Less sweep feels better and gives you more room, plus aftermarket bars are stiffer and stronger. I ordered the Pro Taper KLX110.

    • also ProTaper KLX110?

    • I'm using pro taper minis smaller not as high as stock

    • They are stronger so wont bend if you fall

    • yep, just ordered one on Ebay (DirtBikeBitz) :-)

    • Well mine look completely different but that's because I'm trying to make mine look sporty

    • "Virtually identical" half answered your own question. There are small variations in bend, sweep and angles. That all added up to a different steering feel.

As for the cross bar, helps prevent bending in case you drop it.

    • Nothing to do with the shape. ProTaper or Renthal bars are stronger and lighter.

    • It's more to comfortable to ride you don't feel all rigid!

    • thats where i ordered from too

    • I do like the pro taper feel

    • I need to try some other bars to see what they're like I think.
