I want to put one of them spike air cleaners on my 750 how can I tell if it...
If it has stock air box and exhaust - it probably has not been jetted
it doesn't have stock exhaust on it
but has stock air box
Well it may or may not have been jetted. I am not an expert on what to look for.
I do know this, I put a RoadHouse 2-1 exhaust on my 750 shadow - it definitely ran different (very rough) prior to putting the jet kit in.
I bought this new in 07 and I came with vanic and hindes on it
Then it was probably jetted for the pipes. Others will know more than I do about this, but when I bought my jet kit, it had different instructions and "stages" to install depending on whether there were after market pipes and an aftermarket airbox. So even if there is a jet kit in it, it may need to be adjusted.
It's a coin toss. Some people rejet with just an exhaust some dont. Either pull the carbs and check em... or take it to a shop.
I don't know a lot about it, but there are different stages. One if you change exhaust another if you change exhaust and air box. It has to add more fuel for the amount of air flow being increased, but I can't explain it any better than that.
