My Crosstourer was in for its driveshaft recall replacement and 16000 mile service. Shaft was perfect. Thanks to Charles Hurst Honda in Belfast for the lend of a DCT NC700 for a couple of days. DCT may well catch on, great around town, 2nd generation supposed to be even better. I would have liked it to rev out in the gears more before changing up but all in all enjoyed the experience. More comfortable pillion seat definitely required according to she who must be obeyed.
My Crosstourer was in for its driveshaft recall replacement and 16000 mile...
I'm sure it has a sport mode that allows for higher revving.
That was in sport mode. Later 750 NCs apparently have more sophisticated DCT
Aye sport mode will Rev it full out
Higher revving happens when you open the throttle...
This is actually not a high revving engine.
Rev limiter comes in at 6400revs
Mine was in for a shaft replacement and service today as well.... Managed to get my hands on the Africa Twin for the day....... long story short...... really glad to get back on my CT... :)
Africa Twins are selling like hot cakes though. There's a 2 month waiting list here.
I know... but I really don't know what all the fuss is about... my Transalp was a far better bike to ride than the AT... (just my opinion)... I'm told that EVERYONE wants the DCT version though... the one I had today was just a plain and simple manual....
