Hi, just wondering if people can confirm for me whether a z50 exhaust fits the ct110 (obviously requires some bracket modification)...

Looking at stainless pipe from eBay but don't want to spend the $100 or so if it doesn't fit the motor. Thanks in advance.

  • In my experience they all need modifying one way or another some just need the header reshaped a bit some need a lot of work also the head flange will need modifying or putting longer exhaust studs in your head

  • Z50 fits with minimal modificstions . just had to shorten the section that goes into engine and heat exhaust once on and move it a little but its pretty easy

  • Thanks for the feedback

Hi,I swapped for City Grip's at aroung 1100 km , now I'm close to 10'000 km's and the rear one is allmost done. They where'nt to bad but I am looking for some more grip, what would you recommend? The front one will stay until it is used up but that might take another 10'000 km's. What about Pure Powers ?

Been trying to pass safety inspection here in Hawaii. Everything is fine EXCEPT my side mount tail light. The guy at the shop said I can mount some red turn signals and make them my brake lights too. Does this require a special light or just a turn signal with three wires and wire third wire into the brake light instead running light?

    %d comments
    • What is wrong with your side mount tail light?

    • Nothing is wrong with it. But it's "illegal" to pass safety inspection here. Apparently it has to be a center mount light to pass. Then I could just switch it back to side

    • So basically it's just to pass my safety inspection.

Stumped. I cannot figure this out — Honda Shadow Spirit Ace Aero Riders

Stumped... I cannot figure this out.

03 vt750dc. Starts and idles perfect. At speed, runs perfect. Power, sound etc. is all good. But when I'm at a standstill and go to try to move she sputters badly. Once I hit a certain point in the throttle she starts running great again. No issue whatsoever but when I stop, and try to go again she bogs. Also noticed after painting the exhaust with high temp paint, the front pipe gets way hotter than the rear. Figured I wasn't getting good spark so I pulled the rear cylinder wire thats on the outside off. She still ran, didn't hear any changes. Anyone have any ideas? I'm fresh out. Plug was dry but only slightly fouled too.

      • What would a good strong rejet be for this William? She has what I believe are aftermarket pipes that were reportedly jetted correctly.

      • The carbs were*

      • I used a dynojet kit. The kit comes with all of the jets necessary and tells you which jets to use and the mixture screw setting for what your bike has. For example I have a modified factory exhaust and removed airbox snorkel. It told me exactly what to use. The biggest difference is from the replacement needle and spring. Just changing the jets helps but a total kit will give you the best performance. Read the link below, it will help understand the carbs. Actually read the whole website, it is full of information. http://www.vt750dc.com/mods-and-info/carburetors

      • Should be an o ring gasket

      • At the moment km going with clogged pilots. Description fits the bill. I'll update as it progresses. The carbs are unmolested. For now lol

      • Should swap then to prevent it from undoing when riding

      • Swing arm nut should be on the right side so there is plenty of clearance for the drive chain...if nut is loosening use a lock nut or blue loctite

      • Will red loctite do?

Has anyone installed an EPI Economy clutch kit on a foot shift 350 Rancher and notice any hard and odd shifting when the bike is good and warmed up? Mine does. Spoke to a tech at Highlifter and they told me after I told them my tire size ( 27 inch Swamplites ) that the company doesn't correctly calibrate the kit and that the kit is meant for larger tires...Theoretically at least. And I did adjust my clutch twice after clutch kit install. If it keeps shifting like this I might replace with factory springs and install a light gear reduction instead. Any suggestions?

      • CHECK MUSTANG I KNOW YOU CAN JUST BUY BACK SEAT

      • Another good option, if you can find it, is to find a Valkyrie passenger seat and use it. I did that to mine. It is much wider, and has better foam. My girlfriend loves it and can ride all day with it. She lasts longer now than I do with the stock drivers one. It used to be opposite before the change.

      • Mustang is pretty nice, Corbin is pretty nice, however, there is only ONE Ultimate seat. The Mustang has a more 'classic' look but I've sat on both and when it came to comfort... I chose Ultimate.

This is the driver & passenger seat, the sissy bar pad is NOT the Ultimate.
