18 tall 19 wide acrylic, no cracks. $40
Does anyone know if Harley hard bags will fit an 1100 Aero. Specifically around the shocks. Also, how would the shock lowering kit affect this fit?

I use U.S. Saddlebags-made specifically for the model you ride-a little pricey but worth it-get a kit with the bracket-
NO THEY WONT JUST BOLT ON,THE SHOCK ANGLE ON THE BIKES ARE DIFFRENT,YOU WOULD EITHER HAVE TO SPACE THE BAGS WAY OUT TO CLEAR OR CUT AND NOTCH THE BAGS WHERE THE HONDA SHOCKS ARE LOCATED,IF YOU USE FIBERGLASS NOT POLLY BAGS THEY ARE FAIRLY EASY TO MOD,THE PLASTIC/POLLY BAGS CANT BE FIBERGLASSED NOTHING STICKS TO THEM.SEE MY POST OF THE MOD ABOVE.
Got her back together today...Took her out for a test run.. did good. Thanks again Don Nolen for the help... the 21x3.5 looks sick..
HOW DID IT RIDE WITH THE 21?
steering feels a lil heavy while at very slow speed or like turning around in the driveway. Out on the road I couldnt tell a difference, but i only got to ride about a mile before it started to rain.
I WAS KINDA THINKING THAT WOULD BE THE CASE (I HAVNT RODE MINE SINCE THE SWAP) IT MAY HAVE LITTLE TO MUTCH TRAIL WITH THE TALLER TIRE,IM GOING TO EITHER RACK THE NECK 3 DGRS OR USE RAKED TREES ANYWAY ON MINE.
GOT ONE OF THE HARD BAGS STRETCHED AND THE INNER AND OUTER FAIRING DONE..WORK KEEPS GETING IN MY WAY OF WORKING ON MY OWN BIKE...LOL
extended hard bags look so damn sweet.. Its gonna look good don
What kind of bracket are you using to relocate your turn signals? I bought a set of used Tsukayu Jumbo Strongs and need to move them.
LOOK IN THE ABOVE PICTURE,IV MOVED THEM LONG AGO ALONG THE SIDE OF THE LISCENS LIGHT WITH MINIE LEDS..BUT THEY ARE GOING,ILL FLUSH MOUNTING LEDS IN THE FILLER PANELS BETWEEN THE BAGS AND FENDER.(CUSTOM).
I see it now... the flush LEDS will look sharp, when will you finish those?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!!!!! Guess I won't be riding today...
Found a pair on ebay for under $10. They fit and are working just fine.
Great deal! Good job!
i hate when that happens . i used electrical tap on it and called it a day. the first time i got new ones and it happened again.... and that waas it for me... retaping every month 1dollar. replacing every month 20$ a pop... ill stick with the dollar.
Silver Bullet
New Vance and Hines pipes installed. Sound more like a motorcycle and lease like a Honda Civic.
I have a 2000 VT1100C3 with around 8500 miles. VH long shots, jetted, and K&N filter. Does anyone know what kind and where I can get highway bars? I am over 6ft and cruising with my feet on the boards gets uncomfortable. Thanks for letting me in the group!
600 plus miles on my road trip. All day today in pouring down rain. Hope the sun shines by Tuesday so I can go ride the Dragon at Deals Gap! Been riding the parkway and the fog was terrible in addition to the pouring down rain!
Pic of my new Linbar and floor boards. The pic truly doesn't do them justice. Enjoy your weekend!
Wish they made those bars for the 1100 Aero
Do yours scrape when in a tight turn? My kuryakyns do. Freaked the hell out of me the first time I drug them around a mountain curve.
Yeah, they scrape. I actually kind of love it. LOL. The floorboards are hinged, but the hinge scrapes. Thanks!
I have the exact same ones-love them-
mock up
Looks great!!!!! But is it me, or does it look at though the tire is backwards on the rim?
thats what i said too, but the directional arrow is goin that way.. looked at a few other bikes while i was there and they were the same way.
Invest in Nevr-Dull (and I mean A LOT). I'm considering making spoke cleaning one of my 9 year old's chores. Her little fingers are much more suited than mine. Love the new wheels.
LOOKS GREAT CHRIS,DID IT FIT LIKE I SAID?
just some minor adjustment on the fender mount. Waiting on the spacers to get here. went ahead and took the forks off to paint them while i have it tore down.
Ppl with the rain & everything please watch out for bikers. For some it's their only transportation & I saw a guy yesterday almost lose control because of a slick roads. Everyone be careful no matter what you drive.
I polished my CT110 by engine oil.
These parts of my postie has been shine .

Sanding all the plastic chrome pieces to give its an old school nickel finish
Question for the mechanically inclined .... on my 2006 Shadow Aero the front yellow turn signals blink funny (rapid) and don't fully shine as bright as they should ... any thoughts on how to fix this issue? Thank you for any helpful suggestions ...
I changed my turn signals front & rear out to L.E.D.'s, You also have to change out the flasher relay http://www.amazon.com/07-08-HO NDA-VT750C2-CHROME-FLASHER/dp/ B001AWPJW6/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie =UTF8&qid=1336736940&sr=8-1-fk mr2
Thank you all for your suggestions - it ain't easy gettin lit up !!
JUST CHANGE THE FLASHER UNIT..8.00 AUTO PARTS STORE.
Never ridden a bike before. Good first bike?
Got it last week. Really liking it so far.
4 more days until I leave on my steel horse Hercules for a week long trip to the Smokey Mountains. I am getting excited!
Accidents can happen to anyone, but this goes out to my sport bike riding friends. I understand that your bikes platform is that of a racing platform. I also understand that most stock sport bikes can do almost 100 MPH in first gear. What I don't understand is how some ride these machines wearing sneakers, flip flops, and shorts? I am a cruiser rider, doing much slower speeds, and ride with leather chaps, boots, gloves, and jacket, not to mention a full faced helmet. Please, if you're going to take your bike out, and open it up on the highway, dress for disaster. Give yourself a fighting chance.
amen!
It's sad Kyle to loose so many young riders. The cost of cruisers make the low cost of sport bikes affordable to most younger kids. For the most part, these kids have no fear and the adrenaline rush is too much to pass up. I pray if my Son ever starts to ride, that he will go the cruiser route, like his old man
Yes. And I feel that 90% of the time, the accidents occur because of the car driver. Since becoming a daily bike commuter about 5 months ago, I ride in a constant state of alertness. People simply dont watch for moto bikes.
Kyle, I would love to agree with you, and in many instances you are correct. However if you're flying down the road and hoping that no one will make an error while driving, then you are taking unnecessary chances. Do you really care who's fault it is that gets someone killed? Protect yourself from driver error
yes Very true. Speed is a killer on the sport bikes. Lost a dear friend last week in a speeding accident. no other motorists were involved. Protecting yourself from driver error is key, though.
Finally replaced left side saddlebag- US Saddlebags-pricey...but nice!
if my coolant light goes out on my 2004 honda shadow aero 750 do i have to replace the speedometer
I would just tell my wife I need a new bike instead...
why would you do that - would your mommy not be around
I read my service manual, gave directions how to check the circuit then said if it all works okay replace speedo. WTF I think I would look into moving connections up to the triple tree like the new ones have with signal light indicator etc. I believe about 2006 they changed to having warning lights up there so you could see your signal indicator when wearing a full coverage helmet.
Well, I got my 21x3.5 mammoth spoke wheel, rotor and 120/70-21 tire ordered today.
Layed down a cool 150 miles today, from the So Cal. beaches to the Ojai Mts. of Ventura, Ca. It was a good day!
oh geez - that first part scared me!
I ani't got a 150 mile butt
Here's the kicker, I almost got nailed by a sportbike. Small group of guys on the side of the road, 1 pulls out infront of me, forcing me to cross a dbl line. I gave him the HORN for a long while. I even saw his buddys shaking there fingers @ the Moron.
I did 500 in one day last year on my 06 Aero-up in the Catskills-my neck hurt more than anything else-
And thats why we don't 'salute' sportbikes...
aqui les dejo otra foto de la maquina gracias por dejarme ser parte de este grupo

On my first road trip with my 08 aero, purchased late last summer. Currently in Reno. I'm quite impressed with the Power running 65miles plus. Living in the mountains I never really had a chance to open her up. Steady she goes with power left over.
I did the same thing but installed the hypercharger kit. It all helped a lot. Your gears seem to get taller. More speed per gear. I like that area around Reno. Rode there many years ago.
I use stage 2 jet kit, Vance and Hines Short Shots and Hypercharger-get a lot of bang for the buck...
I went with the Cobra. It looks a lot like the stock pipes. Just liked the longer pipe look.
Anybody know how many VT1100c3 were produced between 98-00
More than 10.
I have a 2000 VT1100c3 and also a 2008 HD Ultra Classic and I can tell you the Shadow can turn just as tight as the HD, and in my opinion, more so. I have even compared it to my buddy's RoadKing, and it will out turn it as well. The bike is very well balanced and easy to handle and I think it would have made an excellent police bike, though I have never heard this story before. My Shadow has been mistaken for a HD many, many times, I have even had people argue with me that it was a HD and I have to show them the honda logo on the tank.
I have one.
Hey folks, if you know of anyone else that would like to join the group send em on over! I'd like to see this group 100 strong before the ends of the month!
This is me and my 2004 vt1100....on Mt Washington, Pittsburgh
Lost a dear friend and fellow motorcyclist tonight in Oklahoma. You guys and gals please ride safe. It can be over in a minute. Please be in prayer for the Woods family in OK.
Sorry to hear... Sad. We had a fatality near our shop recently too, some dumb ass pulled out with out looking first... HORRIBLE!
Matt- it's a horrible thing to lose fellow cyclists. We must never lose sight of the risks of riding our bikes. Being seen takes precedence over everything. For me, the risk is worth the ride. There's nothing like riding a bike, but we must always remember to do so cautiously. RIP to everyone lost this riding season.
I will keep them in my prayers.
Thoughts and prayers
ALLSO GOT MOST OF MY CHROME IN..THE DEMON 1 1/4 SWEPT APES ARE KILLER!!
GOT THE FAIRING CLOSE TO BEING DONE,WENT WITH A CLEAR TRIBAR HEADLIGHT AND DEEP FRENCHED BEZEL,I LIKE THE LOOK SO FAR.

Can anyone help me with Tuning the engine a bit? I allready have a full line exhaust, but i was thinking about a airfilter and stuff, maybe even a supercharger, anyone here who has that on a VTR?? (I also got bigger front & smaller rear sprocket)
Some Info Wanted.
Got A Honda Firestorm. It Dnt Sound Right Through The Exhaust
Instead Of A Thump Its More Of A Pop Through Them
It Has Round Ally Cans On.
When We Brought It The Bloke Had Droped The Front Cam Chain Tensioner And It Jumped 3 Teeth (Apprently The Is A Safe Limete But Not Sure What It Is)
The Timing Was Re-Set And It Fired Up And Seems To Be Fine.
All Compression Are Fine On Both Cylinders So Dont Think There Any Problem With Valves Or Guide Issues
Does Anyone Have Any Idea Of What Could Be Causing It Or Do You Recons Its Just The Exhaust Cans. ??.
Will Try My Best To Give As Much Info As Possible.
awwww mint. may look into that. depends if i can afford the actually cans that i want :D. se what happens mate.. buh its good to hear that a fella firestorm has had simaluar problems hehe.
has yours any other mods..mine runs a KN filter and a dynojet kit..
not a far as im aware. it doesnt have a K&N i no that fore sure. aint a clue on the dynojet thou. i dont think it has thou.
Im looking at the Sportech SP fairing. They only have a mounting kit for the VTX. Is anybody familiar enough with the VTX to know what kind of modifications I might need or if I should just fab mounts from scratch?
Steve Harr hope these pics help
