    Who's still riding?

    • Same here, I still wear my helmet that's like a 3 quarters and I stay cozy thanks to four layers of various jackets plus a riding one. And some nice gloves. It's funny, the people there think I'm Thor or some other legendary figure because I ride no matter the weather.

    • I'm in Florida... can ride all year!! :)

    • 10.000 milles per year, my rebel now have 55.000 and the ride never ends.

    • i have been riding since i'm 8, i'm 40 now i gotta say i had many mean machines but i rode 500's cr's and kx's and if you build it richard, be prepared to be scared, really scared the torque is insane... and your front tire will never wears haha it's always way up in the air hahaha

    • I never rode the cr500, but I did ride the Yamaha it490. That was a blast, nothing like a 1/4 crack of the throttle to put a little prospective in your day.

    • Clinton, I wouldn't buy one.. I'd rather build it, that type of machine I'd want to know every aspect of it, no short cuts. Plus there's just something that makes it worth more in the end when you do it yourself.

    • hahaha call it a big bore eye opener, my friend he had a 84 yz 490 and it was crazy fast too, but i feel the cr and kx were faster and stronger.

    • there is another guy on u tube, who builds 500 atc's and 500 tecate's he seems to have the process down pat, of building them monsters shows him with a decompression on the cylinder head and he starts the 500 ATC with his sneaker on, very impressive.

Well interesting day freezing this morning going to work then snow then wet... — Honda VTR 1000 Firestorm owners

Well, interesting day freezing this morning going to work, then snow then wet, then worse, coming out of a Junction in Berwick Industrial Estate, I heard a loud noise....looking around for a source, I realised it was the bike, killed it and parked up...what to do, fire it up..was it really the bike, or not, decide to fire it up, Yep loud thumpin clattering noise sounding not unlike a cam chain thrashing round and hitting the engine.

Luckily only 9 miles from home and not where I'm working usually, 80 mls away 9 miles up a landrover track with no mobile signal, in the middle of nowhere.

The breakdown service wanted me to go back to the bike to wait..in the pissing rain..as its a local recovery firm, I called them up and they are bringing it home..the autopsy table is prepared. : ( Its my only transport atm as the car has blown a head gasket and the CBR has the carbs off.

Dear Mr Honda you have had long enough to sort this out...WHY WHY WHY cant you make decent tensioners...: @ Don.

Anyone know of a way to look up and see if your atc has ever been titled before — Honda 350x

Anyone know of a way to look up and see if your atc has ever been titled before?

    • some one says i have to take it to the state police and get a inspection paper from them and take it to the dmv with the notarized bill of sale

    • Try your online dmv for info on lost titles ,in cal we had to send a letter to the last reg owner to sign.if none have the person that sold you it a bill of sale, hand written with all the info on it.then see what they do no laws I know of says you ever had to reg it if kept on private property

    • They make it so damn hard, instead of all the bullshit you'd think they would want to make it easier to register and title them, so that they can collect the money.. They're only hurting themselves, and causing more high speed police chases because more people are inclined to ride illegally. Fact is, we're going to ride regardless.

    • I just hate my clutch lever flapping around while I'm riding that's why I tightened it up. I'll have to play with it some more.

    • hmm, mine don't flap cuz the lower lever on the engine has light strain from the spring inside to pull the slack back

    • i need bigger springs i slip mine like a cr 250. and i lose my clutch.

Is there anyone living near Gatton 100km west of Brisbane that can help me... — Honda CT110 Postie. Bike Forum

Is there anyone living near Gatton (100km west of Brisbane), that can help me out with fixing my 1990 CT110? The problem is with the magneto. Pretty please, I have had no luck with the local motor cycle shops - none of them seem willing or able to fix it (citing that the parts are no longer available).

    • Give 110 motorcycles in caboolture a call. They might be able to help you.

    • Thanks Rick Bond, gave them a call. I'd have to get it to Caboolture to have the problem fully diagnosed. Not even sure if it's a 6v or 12v (there were changes made to the electricals between 1989 and 1990).

    • All CT110s made for the US are 6 volt. There isn't any magneto. There's an alternator, pulse generator and CDI unit that need to work in order to have a spark. It's not likely any of them are defective. More likely a fuel problem.

    • Oops, sorry - "In around 1995 the electrical system on the Australia Post models was changed to 12V and the CDI system was simplified." ...... The easiest way to find out the voltage is to check one of the light bulbs, like the tail light.

    • Yeah, hardest part is getting the 350x boot to fit the larger carb. It was a little tight getting the carb into place but not bad, the air box boot is a pain in the ass.. I personally just made a rubber gasket to bypass putting the boot on the carb, however I have seen others on here who have gotten it to fit.

    • Everyone says heat gun, boil it, etc..

    • Yeah, I've read everything from using a Dremel, to boiling, to slick 50, etc to get it to fit.
