  • The Honda CB77, or Super Hawk, was a 305 cc (18.6 cu in) vertical twin motorcycle produced from 1961 until 1967. It is remembered today as Honda's first sportbike. It is a landmark model in Honda's advances in Western motorcycle markets of the 1960s,[4] for its speed and power as well as its reliability, and is regarded as one of the bikes that set the paradigm for modern motorcycles.

picked up a beat up 200x today. edges of the rear plastics are crack like an inch in, bald back tire, bald front tire ( might be the origanal by how bald they are). tank is paint about 6 colors, brake are frozen, chain and sprockets are shot, axle carrier bearing aare weak. but i traded for it one 5hp go-cart= one 200x. great deal for me. running down to Razzee's for bearings chain and sprockets. then going to drain brake oil and see if i can get them to work. mostlikely i'll cut the rear fenders back for now

  • might just be scare mongering for purists. I like the idea of going fast. Are they as easy to repair as the ct110 motor?

  • I don't think they will be as bulletproof at a stocker but they are pretty simple to work on and you can download a complete assembly break down if you need to do major repairs

  • 17 tooth front will get ya there. Needs some grinding. Or a16 on front and slip stream behind a truck work 2

  • I'd look on ebay for a good used motor. It's the cheapest route. That's just me.

Sorry to hear that it finally gave up.

  • It's ok, I knew she would eventually. I was commuting everyday under high speed conditions. It was operating on one cylinder for about a month so it finally quit. She had too, she served me well and it was just her time.

  • Sweet, I was just curious it's still a lot cheaper than my car!

  • Sounds spot on, I'll get about 100 kms on mains plus an additional 20 kms on reserve.

  • I dont think my reserve works but ive filled it up to see how much I can get from home to work and work to home and got 130klm and the distance each way is bout 18 klms maybe??

  • Lance and I both have this bike and factory they came with 3" white walls. This scheme was only available for a short time in 99 as with the orange and cream.

  • If that's a Memphis shades windshield you'll get practice swapping out the mount brackets..... I'm on set number three with only 10,000 miles

  • Like the relocated ignition switch? I should open up a customs shop, it's far more fun than moving sick people. .

  • Garth Thomson What tank is that you used ? And was it difficult to mount ?

  • It's an XR 250 tank. It has custom fabricated mounts (front and rear) and I had to relocate the ignition switch (easy). The front mount brackets are straight fwd but the rear mount bracket was a bit of a pain to fabricate.

  • Thanks Kevin. Its just a little nod to the retro feel of the bike. When I bought the bike it came with leather grip covers, the ones with the real long fringe hanging down. I thought they were a little over the top, but I've always liked the floorboard fringe. It just seems to fit.

  • I've broken more bones on a 3 wheeler than any other machine ever.. However, that doesn't mean I'd have broken less with any other machine, just means I've rode 3 wheelers a lot longer, harder, and more often than any other machine. .

  • And your not smart enough to wear gear to prevent it :p haha. The people around here that DO know what a 350x is ask me..."wanna sell it?"...."hell no"

Look you find knock off all over the place, doesn't mean it's as good or the same, or any worse for that matter. I don't throw down because you find after market skids, siwngers, guards, etc. that people make.. it's a challenge finding parts for these machines, and it's rare and hard to find people to supply them. If someone wants to try an duplicate a similar item to help some buddies, be it a guard, swinger, skid plate, frame reinforcement kit, or w/e Right on.. The more people involved trying to get quality parts at affordable prices out for these trikes is cool in my book.. After all everyone can agree the main point is to keep these machines around and keep them nice, be it custom, OEM, or whatever.. That's all I gotta say about it..

  • Not really worth the confrontation sean.. not like he was criticizing "your business" so doesnt have to be taken so personal

  • My apologies Ben, didnt mean to cause crapp on your post.... just simply stating a fact that i know personally ... tired of "opinons and guesses" from hearsay... I back up tpc 100%, they dont show placement etc until you buy their product, then they unlock their site to you so you can see where each piece goes, where to weld parts of the frame for extra strength and why it breaks where it does.... theyre not just gonna give away their yrs of experience for free to everyone.... My frame on my 86 is now stronger than new and should never break again

  • Rob, I do agree with your assessment. We want companies to produce good aftermarket products for our trikes. If we trace their work and undercut them, where is the incentive for the next guy to produce an excellent brake line set, a rear brake mount adapter, stencils, decals...ect. I don't consider $65 to be excessive. Make your own for $25-$35. And then make 100 more for your friends. You will probably find that you have capital tied up in the steel and equipment. And at the end of the day, when someone else starts undercutting you, you stop. BTW, this is why I avoid Walmart. I try to make sure I employ Americans by buying their products. (Off my soap box now.)

  • You'll likely have to compare yours to a 12 with a ruler. Usually the aftermarket dealers wait a year or two to update their compatibility charts. Plus they have to make sure the parts work. :)
