    • It must be the CC110 if it's a fuel pump issue.

    • Confirmed.

    • I was told today by my post man

As i asked him why has he back on old Red.

He stated its been recalled by Honda he said its is Australia wide and its the new Super Cub.

I believe its the fuel injection pump.

next dumb question....will a postie start and run stripped of all wiring/lights/battery?

    • should do, you need a couple of wires from the engine to the coil, I cannot remember the colours but its only three of the six there

    • http://ct90-ct110.com/Wiring-D iagrams.html

find the one that corresponds to your model, and make sure the correct colour wires from the alternator are plumbed in and correct, but no need for lights etc. I think yellow is for the lights, light green is for the neutral switch. Black/red is straight to the CDI, white and the remaining colour (mine says pink) go to the recitifier, and from the rectifier comes blue/yellow which is to the coil. Dark green is the earth. You may have trouble if your kill switch isn't hooked up but you can figure out from the wiring diagram which two wires you need to put together to make it work if the switch isn't there

Hi guys — Honda V45 and V65 owners (Sabre Magna)

    Hi guys,

    again writing with another problem.

My indicators stop working every now and then. First I though its an issue with the handlebar switch, so I took it apart, cleaned it and re-assembled. Worked much better, but then half way through my ride, indicators back dead again. 20 min later, working again. I checked the battery (its the sealed gell one), cleaned all the connections, undid the light and cleaned all the connections there, still nothing changes. Would anyone have any clue why they are so temperamental and work only when they like to????? Drive's me maaaad

    THanks for any suggestions.

    • Kusaj, pm me and I can walk you through testing this. I killed my self canceling because the angle sensor was shot and I didn't really care if I had it or not.

    • I had a look at wiring diagram and think some connections in the head light are in the wrong / matching connectors!! Also found this thread - so next Saturday its out to the shed I go Hi Ho HI Ho :) http://v4musclebike.com/forums /showthread.php?t=4303&highlig ht=indicators

    • My fix to the indicators: I read in manual to unplug the 9 pin connector to the cancel unit and put a wire between couple of connections which i don't remember the colours any more. Turn the indicator on one side or the other and short those connections. the cancel unit should send out a signal to cancel the indicating, hence the clicking sound within the switch. Mine did it so, my cancel unit was fine. then I moved to the flasher relay. Took it off and did the same. turn the signal on (with no lights working) and shorted/connected 2 out of 3 connections. the indicator came on, not flashing but on. so to me it meant that the flasher relay is dead. bought a new one, K@S, for $38. Its a regular electrical realay with 3 wide pins in I _ I but they supply the 3 inline V45 connector to fit the bike. Fit it in and when i tried it they worked fine. I haven't riden the bike yet but I hope its still in good order. Thanks again for all your help!!!!

As i have sometimes discussions going on about pricelevel of VTR manual tensioners from Krieger here some information.

Mark Krieger and I agreed that i would do sales in Europe as if I ship to EU countries people won't get extra costs for VAT, customs etc. and leadtime is shorter. If you buy from Mark in USA the package will be passing the customs with the risk of additional costs. I have noticed that this risk is increasing since last year, so be aware of this. It's just a thought you have to keep in mind, not only with tensioners but also with other goods. Import from outside EU can be risky.

    • I've just recently purchased an '03 and its got 22k on the clock, now I'm reading this thread thinking I'm going to have to go off and buy some manual CCT's. What are some of the tell tale signs of when it's going to let go ? Bike has a full service history but no note of if they've been changed already.

    • Not always tell tale signs as such, some of the other owners have had no warning, just failure. Kind of silly not to just do it to be safe. ;)

    • Indeed Jason, you save hundreds of dollars, pounds, euro's simply by buying a set of new manual tensioners.

So Dover it is..Hull P&O options not open yet for booking as Fran Sid Helstrip is going mental waiting lol..Because Daves tanks is smaller than mine and we are 300 odd miles from Dover, taking Car+Trailer as diesel car and saving around £140 on fuel alone just between Dover n home and back again ( after car fuel take offs) costs for running 600 miles between Dover n back no brainer.... plenty of riding to be done in the 8 days we are there..;p

    • There is a video on YouTube of a 250 r with cr500 engine and he had his rear fenders and seat hinged by the grab bar where they flipped up so he could kick it. Still had to get off to set them back down. Some guys I have seen just take them off to start it then put them back on but sure it gets old and would be impractical in a woods type situation

I really love my 09 750 spirit...but have been trying out larger bikes recently in my desire for more torque & less vibration. My 750 has just a slight handle bar vibration on interstate above 75 mph. Almost not noticeable, but after an hour on interstate, my hands will get numb. My question: I know that custom exhausts, re-jetting and a higher flow air filter will increase torque & throttle response, but will it also reduce the freeway speed vibration?

    • Get bar end weights or put in a bar snake. Vibration occurs (or can) in any motorcycle regardless of size. The palm rests also help.

    • My whole bike shakes at 70. 2003 Shadow Spirit 750. It vibrates a little more as I go faster but not that much more that I will go faster when I need to. I am older but not experienced. Is this normal for a 750?

    • Also I just put on new tires. It got a little better but not much.

I have a fair idea what this might be but wanted to run it past you all to be 100 %. Had to fix the tail light today cause of rough handling broke the clip where the tail light screws up to. All went well. I unscrewed the lights from the sockets and took them out of the sockets just to check them.....when I plugged them back in and turned on the ignition to check all was great to go I only had one tail light but both brake lights. Took them out again And plugged them both in again then both wee gone, but still had brakes lights. Went to turn the engine on and it turns but doesn't start. Now I have charged the battery and have tried to start it again and it continues to turn over but now lights are flickering as it turns. Is this a dreaded rectifier issue?

    Why Rubber is so important....

I got my Honda Shadow Spirit 2005 about three months ago. I was brought into T&T as a used bike.

All my other bikes were large Enduro On/Off road like Yamaha Tenere.

So it was a whole new experience learning to ride a Cruiser...

It got to the point where I hated riding the bike. The Roads in T&T are horrendous, and the back end would skip all over the place.

Trying to go around a corner on a rough road, I would have to fight the bike. It would always try to straighten up, and even feel like push me into oncoming car.

I played with different tyre pressures, rear suspension settings etc. But it always felt hairy.

The tires were the original ones.... So about 8 years old...

I ordered new tires, about 8 weeks ago, and they finally arrived.

I had them installed on Tuesday this week. I could not ride fast as one should not push new tires for at least 50 miles due to protective coating that dies not grip so well.

But on my way home, I intentionally headed for the bad patches in corners.

It's a whole new bike... Much safer and more fun to ride.
