    • Well duh....it only takes one time to get burnt....Capt Obvious! I guess there's no sense in trying to buy anything online here, because you have a bias opinion on everything. Obviously since you think you know it all, and if it doesn't meet your criteria for trading, buying, or selling online, you have to voice your disdain for anyone looking for online parts that can't meet up in person.

    • No im not saying that.....but if we are all trust worthy.....send me the tank first is all im saying

Hello everyone ! Can anyone recommend a pair of riding boots/shoes that are ankle high, steel toe with ankle protection that you can take out of the box new and be able to actually walk around without looking like Herman Munster ? Its kind of tough breaking in a pair of boots while you are riding all day. Thanks.

    • Speed and strength

    • I purchased a pair of Xelement ankle high boots at Leather Up that weren't too bad. The weight and upper are comfortable but I think that your going to find that stiff sole feel in any new boot. Nothing a good pair of heavy weight socks and a few days of wearing them won't fix.

    • Red wing makes a motorcycle boot. I like the Wolverine Potomac virtually no breaking in. The important thing is find something that you find to be comfortable.

What is the difference between Honda Rebel 125 & Honda Ca Rebel 125?

    • I hate to seem ignorant or as someone who answers a question with a question, but for as many 125cc Honda motorcycles that have come about, seems to me, you'd need to ask on a specific year (tho 95-99 I think are the only choices for the CA) in addition to the difference between the CA and any others. I'm sure I'll get corrected if I'm wrong lol! BIKEZ.COM lists the CA specs and uses a 1999 in its example. As for the "other" one in question.. again, from the lists (endless it seems) of Honda125s, targeting Rebel in the 125cc category, I only see the CA referenced. I see no reference to any other edition... ??? Here's 2 links:

49 degrees in central Ohio. Nice afternoon for a ride.

    • About 43 degrees in Western NY today. I had to go for a ride as well. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 18 with a "real feel" of 6. At 70 MPH I'd probably be a popsicle in about 10 minutes.

    • I like the white walls Steve

    • Thanks, Mike. I have always loved WWW tires on these bikes. I think they look great with most retro styled bikes. I'm even thinking of adding them to my VTX 1800R, but I hate the thought of having another set of whitewalls to keep clean. The front is no problem, but the rear gets filthy fast and is harder to get to for cleaning.

    • yeah, it's worth it's weight in scrap. LOL. Except for the pulse generators, etc. I just planned on parting out the engine, keeping the pulse generators, etc. I would trade the whole she-bang(including pulse generators, etc.) for some help in rebuilding the 70A carbs. I don't have the space anymore to work on the bike. I lost my house due to the medical bills and divorce so living with my sister and her husband right now. And she won't let me work on the bike in the living room.......plus I can only work on it at 30 minutes because my back starts spasming. I'm the one with the triple fusion of the back and the meds took out my kidneys and damaged my liver.....but I've got a Magna!!! LOL

    • Michael, sure I can help out with the carb rebuild. Wishing you a better 2014.

    • I'll call you when I am ready. Right now I need to focus on the house and my health. I work on the bike 15-30 minutes a day when I can. But I do like it when I am able to help someone out online...makes me feel productive! LOL

Fellow Ct riders and potential owners - do not give in to public opinion that suggests the CT is not suitable for rugged off-road (let's be clear it is not an endure bike) However, it is very capable, tyre choice is critical and as is riding to your capabilities - find riders with off-road experience and ride with them, most guys are more than willing to help / advise less experienced riders, we all started at the beginning.... Falling off or dropping your CT is inevitable, so protect your bike and yourself.

    First rebuilt the clutch...

Then had to rebuild the carbs a few times, first to clean it (and it started) then to fix a leaky carb (first sealed the bottom of the carbs) and then found the real problem in the o-rings on the tubes connecting the carbs. Replaced 'em and she purrrsss!

Still need to change the fork seals, oil, throttle cable, and need to figure out what my running light isn't working (brake lights are).

Thanks to all you Magna lovers for helping me getting my baby started!

    • Saaman, if you are referring to the running lights in the rear, there aren't any. There are only running lights in the front.

    • Thanks for the heads up Michael. Now I'm thinking of adding one for night riding...

    • Be sure to check with your state laws for rear running lights on a motorcycle. Some states have it in the laws that on motorcycles, one running light only(which is the brake light). I don't think you'd get pulled over, but just a heads up.

    • Good to know, thanks again Michael!

    • I was used to the weight of the PanEuropean, a GS was a lot lighter and more nimble, and IMHO the CT is as light footed as a GS. I always have my knees against the fuel tank though ;-)

Lil help? I'm considering buying another full face helmet(like 4 is not enough). I don't want to go too low ball nor do I want to spend $600 either. After a little research, I'm leaning towards the Bell RS-1. Input appreciated....

    • Mike, I just read an article about helmets and the research behind them. They are designed to protect your head only in a 13 mph crash, which is about the speed your head will be doing when dropped from a height of 6 ft. Now, how fast it will be traveling horizontally when you need the protection, is anybody's guess, and are not designed for that factor. I personally crashed at 60 mph into a deer and my Nolan 102 saved my bacon. Now I wear a Shoei RF-1100, a very nice helmet for me. I can't add much more, even about the Bell's, but I will pass along what I was told, and it makes sense: If you have a $10 head, then buy a $10 dollar helmet….remember, it's a piece of safety gear, designed to be used once. If you walk away, it was worth it, no matter the cost….

    • Thanks, Christopher....

    • I have had RXT-good after five years was getting a little loose on head was also noisy. Have had 2 HJCs first one was passengers helmet-still using it noisy as well. Second HJC replaced the RXT, has the little wind blocker mesh, was quite, really liked it but the rubberised coating on bottom of helmet started to break down after a year or so.

I have been in motorcycle crash at 30 or more mph, ran my face into a grill of a van (full coverage saved my face), I don't ride without a full coverage helmet (long ago I believe it was a Shoi) After that one had a Nava- no problems. Your Bell appears to have good reviews. http://www.revzilla.com/motorc ycle/bell-rs-1-helmet-solid?gc lid=CIr9gJHOzLsCFU1fpQodVDYA7g

    • Anthony Lagrosa this is my first season. Lol I got my bike end of April

    • John, not lecturing, but if this is your first season, please be careful out there. As the winter goes on the sand and stuff they lay down with the salt will begin to build up on the roads and can easily cause a skid or worse. Just keep an eye out for that, especially around the intersections. And, of course, watch out for the black ice. Ride safe, stay warm, and have a Merry Christmas!

    • Thank you. I watch the roads. My wife give me road updates as well she leaves before me and lets me know if the roads are to bad.

Well the iCaveman came within a hair's breath of becoming extinct on Saturday Night.

Heading East from my sister in Westmoorings, a car coming out of Diego Martin pulled into me and while the bike was swerving all over the place just continued to cross ... Even after he hit me...

This could have ended so many ways:

    1. Me hooked into his car and being dragged by him, or being pulled under his car

    2. Being hit from cars on either side as I was swerving all over the road

    3. Being hit by a car from behind

The way the foot peg, the mount and gear shift lever were bent from the impact, my ankle should be broken.

How I managed to keep that bike up, must have been 5% skill and 95% God is not ready for me yet.

If I had fallen, I would have definitely been run over.

Bike is stuck in second gear, even if the bike was rideable, I was shaking so badly, I could not ride home....

They say God looks after drunks and fools.... Well I was not drunk, so God thank you for looking after this fool...

I started riding at 15, I'm 58.. I have owned 10 bikes and consider myself an extremely safe rider. Seriously considering what to do from here.... Apart from one incident SCUBA diving, I have never felt that this was the end.... I'm still in a state of shock 1 and 1/2 days later.

Of course there is the usual response for the driver.... Ah didn't see you....

I asked at the Police Station, for both of us to be given a sober it's test.... The answer was.... "We don't have any technician

    here to do that"
