I need some help. Anybody know of a different top yoke I can use so I can have more upright handle bars as my back is struggling with the lean. I was thinking of changing bike but was told to make the bike better for me rather than get rid of it. Any advice would be a great help.

    • Steve Whiting I've posted on my fb if you go on my page and have a look not finished yet obviously I may even cut the centre part out completely so just like risers that clamp onto fork legs. someone on vtr site has some like this but not available to buy anymore.dunno how will work out but you get the idea

    • Yam fz angled clamps fitted to standard top yolk. Any bars you fancy after that. Renthal ultra lows fitted to mine. Small fairing trim & longer clutch & brake lines required

I replaced the CCTs with manual ones middle of last year. Last two rides I've noticed a little clatter from the front cylinder. Is there an easy way to adjust the CCT or am I up for an hour or so in the garage this weekend doing the strip down thing again?

    • The article is barely a couple of paragraphs and features a slow yellow one....

    • Article reads:

Massive torque and great build quality.

      Good example £1499.

The Firestorm is a big v-twin superbike that can be had for a song.It was, and still is, a great bike, but living in the Fireblade's imposing shadow it never quite took off.

That's great news for used buyers as the 150mph VTR is a brilliant, sweet-handling bike with heaps of V-twin torque and great all-round abilities. We found a 1997 example with 24,218 miles on the clock going for just £1499.It had a full MOT, Fuel silencers with removeable baffles and good tyres with lots of miles left.

The build quality is generally good, which you'd expect from a Honda, but some owners have experienced problems with camchain tensioners and waterpumps failing. The exposed downpipes can be prone to a bit of corrosion too.But don't let this put you off- as long as the bike has been well looked after you shouldn't have any issues.

    • Think we went through the "slow yellow" yesterday - it only goes as fast as you twist the throttle lmao!!!!! xx

Stock shocks on the Aero 750 is 11.5 inches. Has anyone installed taller shocks, say 12 inches or so? Need more carrying capacity, but don't want to move up to a bigger bike, as mine was a gift from my father. Any suggestions for a bigger better shock setup. Progressive makes a 11.5 inch shock, not sure how much of an improvement that would be over stock.

If you noticed, when you start up a car in the morning, Water normally drips from the exhaust and there is a white smoke coming out from the vehicle. After a few minutes, the smoke and the dripping water is normally gone.

    • if you dont experience considerable power/pick-up loss or fuel efficiency issues you might not need to change it. please try and ride a newer bike of a friend which has clocked lesser miles and which you know is sanely ridden and see if you find it very much different to your bike and then decide. more easier; just give it to a good mechanic and he would be able to pin point in about 5 minutes of riding. and be sure he is a really good and recommended guy. Also, I strongly recommend that if at all you're changing clutch plates, please do it at an authorized service center only. There are some markings and stuff on the components that have to be fit in a particular way which most roadside guys don't know about. Believe me, it makes a world of difference in the performance and life of the plates. Also change the clutch hub and center along with the plates. Happy ripping!

    • thanx bro how much does clutch plates cost me approximately

    • the last time I bought, it was about 1480/- plus about400/- for hub and center. Oh and pressure plates are about 185/- if I remember right

Well he said, we have many people getting the parcels returned so you are lucky ! In the afternoon i went back to ship some parcels and the his wife was putting the recipients adress into the computersystem, luckily she mentioned the postalcode....IT WAS MY OWN CODE !!!! So now i know why so may people get their parcels returned, she puts the senders postalcode in the system instead of the recipient HAHAHAHA

    • Mine backfires when you shut the throttle and it's sounds lovely with standard cans....

    • It's the rear that runs richer. Not unusual to have a bigger jet needle in the rear as it runs hotter.

    • Fuel mix and carb balance are completely different things. Carb balance means all the throttle bodies are opening the same amount on each cylinder.

    • Thanku

    • And Rick is spot on about Storms coming into their own on longer journeys...however I use mine for the daily commute and have to say it does just fine squeezing through traffic, making tight corners and generally dealing with everything a winter commute can throw at a bike...including some cnut who pulled out onto the white lines to block me off, so went round him on the curb side, back out in front of him, pulled in the clutch, flipped him the bird then gave it a handful of throttle and fucked off.

Only thing to be careful of going from the 600 to the 1000 V-twin is spinnning up the back end. All too easy, especially in the wet.

    • Dunno. Had another M3 try to race me one night on my way home from work, I was on my CBR1000RR. I opened the throttle for a few seconds, rolled off when I saw 182MPH on the clocks and when I checked my mirrors he was nowhere to be seen. Lol

    • Lol! Yeah the 1000rr isn't beatable, its not a match to reasonably prized cars, you have to get a half million car at least to keep up with a bike! Im looking forward to beat some tuners again!! With their vw's and BMW!

    • Did that to a VW Passat who cut me up going into a nice 2 lane sweeping right hander...he couldn't decide what lane he wanted to be in, went from left to right several times before I came past on the inside, knee on the ground and flipping the bird. I know it was stupid but it was sooooo damn satisfying.

    • Beeswax - solid; Protection for leather. Creates a barrier for environmental influences

Coconut butter - semi solid; Conditions the leather surface.

Sweet Almond oil - liquid; Softens the leather internally and replaces the natural oils lost through dying

Castor oil - liquid; Heavier oil that provides the 'shine'. Can be replaced with mineral oil if necessary.

      **Optional**

Pure Ammonia or Alcohol - liquid; Cleans and degreases the surface before polishing.
