Hey all I have a great Ultimate studded custom seat for an 04 Aero, condition is excellent, Retail is 340.00.....$200 OBO
Thinking of selling my baby, shadow 1100 American import on a 97 plate just under 19000 miles on clock, straight through pipes, dyno jetted loverly condition for her age, can put a new mot on her, reluctant sale, looking for £2400 but bike is in Birmingham so pick up only, wedding coming up
Hi Martin where did you get the carbon fibre side rails for your bike. I to have a yellow storm 2001, in Australia
I managed to buy them secondhand off of ebay, up until last year they were ultra rare, but a guy in the uk started making them, they didn't get the best feedback tho, as the fitting wasn't very good, I haven't seen them for sale for at least 6 months, if I see any i'll let you know, just keep looking on ebay, the ones along the top spar are more common, I bought mine from a guy who was selling something else on his bike, but I saw them in the picture and asked him if he'd sell them, I got those for £25, the other ones are a different story, ultra rare, I've only seen a handful in the uk, they cost me £100, then the fella started making them....doh!!!
Thank you for the update Martin, I will keep looking on eBay

Doh, only forgot to torque down the top yoke center nut, thought the front end was falling off when I hit the first pothole! By the way Rob de Hoo checked the tyre pressures today for the first time in two years, 19 psi in the front and 24 in rear, that would explain why I get speed wobbles when I hit a white line overtaking!
I check my tyre pressure every week!! And i use different pressure on hot/cold outside temperature and touring/sport riding style!! Sometimes i adjust it 3 times a week!! and i feel every change i make! Just a habbit i got left over from my job at the tyrecenter :-) check it at least every month for your own safety, tyre wear and fuel consumption!
Officially you should check before each trip (Factory rule)
Sebas is right, tyrepressure is important for those things. !!!!

Thank you sa suggestion sir nanie at jet..nice idea..

Anybody changed the standard exhaust on their Buffer? I like the look of the twin oval cans but would like something a little louder (not excessively though) - any thoughts? Cheers
On www.cbf1000.com there's discussion about removing the final baffles, and replacing the cans, one guys even converted to single sided.
i put the beowulf cans, they are cheap and with a deep sound especially if you remove the baffles and they have great variety.Keep also the original exhausts(i change from standard to the aftermarket and backwards according to my mood.....:) )
Thanks for the pointers - has anyone come across Delkevic? They look half decent and the prices are good as well.

Plea for help: Misifre.
Can anyone offer help/advice - I have a misfire that's driving me nuts. My Firestorm has been stood overwinter - running fine up till October, now it won't rev past 3,000 without misfiring, backfiring and farting up through the carbs. It sounds like it's the front cylinder.
Things I have fiddled with:
Before I ran it up I took the tank off and put it on my missus' bike. Her Firestorm ran fine with my tank.
I also took the coils off and put them on her bike. Again, it ran fine. At that point I fitted Stick coils to my Firestorm.
I have had the misfire since then (but quite possibly before, I hadn''t run it up since the winter).
I have reverted to OEM coils.
Checks & changes made:
Tried yet another set of coils.
Swapped the ignitor box and CDi over
Checked the TPS (900 ohms, but working)
Replaced the carbs with known good.
Tried new Iridium plugs, and conventional DPR9's
New fuel tap.
I appear to have continuity from the coil back to the ignitor box.
It has manual CCT's
The battery is good.
Reg/Rec is the newer finned type.
Any advice people? Does the ignition have 2 pickups - could one be failing?
It's been suggested if the Generator is failing that might cause a misfire?
Any pointers much appreciated!
I've tried a complete pair of known good carbs. There is a new fuel tap on. I stripped the original carbs, cleaned jets, emulsion tube and checked floats. All was good. They are back on now.
My total guess is it sounds like the ignition is not advancing for some reason. Does the TPS value change as you twist the throttle?
Check your fuel tank petcock diapram...same like my problem before done everything but at the end petcock is the culprit....damn rubber diapram tear up...

These are the wires
But it sounds like shift drum or shift angle sensor not giving correct numbers or computer not interrupting them properly.
Ill check tomorrow but I think that's what constant flash means. But should let you start the bike. Then again like I said these bikes are crazy.
Looks like a rat or a squirrel was in there and ate the wires should replace those sections of wires even tho there not touching they could be still arking between each other even tho u can't see it
These 72 spoke rims should help give it a new look.
how much did they cost you for a set of them mate?
Where did you get them?
im onto it brandon i have a guy who has them now but im seeing who can do the best price Brandon K Gregory
I got them but the front wheel does not fit had to get other bearings for the axle and then the brake cover was to tight and you could not tighten the axle its a nightmare, if you are handy and know a turner to do the brake cover your ok..the rear is perfect by the way!! and they look nice!!.
With that color combo and those spokers, that is going to be a sweet lookin' little bike. White wall inserts would set it off perfectly, imo. Please keep us updated on the progress.
Thanks Raymond. Here is a shot of the forks. It's gloss black with 2 coats of blue metalcast and two coats of clear. The suspension knuckles were in rough shape and now look great.
The two colors contrast well, and the black looks more blue the brighter the light.
Hey guys... could you advise for a 55/60w headlamp for my zma.... along with the price... Thanx in advance

Okay guys, (and ladies for the boob bike), I will be traveling all across Arkansas, parts of Texas, and Oklahoma not this week but next. We are going to little Sahara during spring break and we'll be staying in Tulsa. I have decided that my collection is way to large. I'm going to bring a 18" dove tail trailer full of bikes. Everything is for sale for the right price. Some would rather be sold than others of course. Along with that, I will sell any parts along the way or bring any parts bikes for sale. The bikes are as follows (kinda): (2) liquid cooled R's, (2 1/2) 350x's, all run. Complete air cooled R minus motor. Tons of extra air cooled parts. Complete and running 200e, 200es, 200x, custom autox, 250x, 185s, 125m. I have parts and complete non running bikes for 110, 125, 185, 200s,m,x, 90, 200e, and a few 350x parts such as frames and triple trees, ect. If you're looking for a specific item, message me or give me a call 1.870.612.4792. If you're looking to buy a bike running and ready to go I'd like to know so I can have it on the trailer.

Great ride on my new biffa. Done nearly 800 miles now. Great brakes, corners like on rails & very comfortable. Not bad on juice either. Still very vibey in lower gears & the screen needs to be wider, but all in all, a very safe motorcycle. Bit of a bonus, found it has a fully working scotoiler as well.

Probably not very noteworthy but I find the Rebel a very hardy bike
I have both the 250 and 450 and they just keep going
Now this is very important for me as I seldom ride and I like the bikes to withstand a fair bit of negligence
Of course, aesthetics are appealing too but the low maintenance is really attractive
Had to say this cos this aspect is seldom very visible
here's a before and after, the main fairings still got to be put on, I've put the original decals back on, fitted a fabbri screen and changed to clear indicator lenses.
so far I've done the following.....
fitted an ohlins rear shock
two brothers full system
put on a black rear wheel
new 2ct's tyres
new chain and sprockets
black samco hose's
custom elsemade seat
clear tail light
fitted colour coded oem bellypan
stick coil conversion
removed the pairs system
fitted a fender extender
and theres still more to do, will it bever end....lol

I'm replacing fork seals on my VF700S. I've got the right leg apart but on the left leg the allen head socket bolt in the bottom of the leg will not budge. I can tell I'm starting to strip it even with a brand new Craftsman allen wrench, so I stopped. I'd welcome any suggestions, but I'm thinking I'll bring it by my dealer and see if their mechanics are willing to get it out for me - maybe with an impact gun or something similar. Last resort will be to try carefully drilling the head off, getting it apart, and then dealing with getting the rest of the bolt out.
Rule #1, don't take the forks apart before you get those bolts loosened. Find a way to compress the fork and then try to loosen it. My routine is to drain as much oil out of both sides as possible then loosen those bolts. Then I jack up the front end to remove the fork caps.
you could try adding some heat to the bolt, if that doesnt work, youll need to insert something long enough to reach the bottom and try to hold the other end from turning !?, good luck
After trying heat, compressing the fork and a few different wrenches I visited my friendly Honda dealer. The mechanic quickly drilled it and extracted it for me, so I'm good to go. Thanks Honda House in Elmhurst, IL!
If you have the one side put back together, put it back in the triple tree, put the springs back in and put the wheel back on. Lower the wheel and try again. If that doesn't work, take a ratchet strap between the triple tree and tire and compress the shocks.
It's all finished. Just that one bolt on the bottom of the fork was seized and the Honda mechanic couldn't get it to budge without stripping so he drilled it. Thanks.

Can anyone recommend a good Postie mechanic in Adelaide.
Mo is in need of some TLC before I take him up to the Flinders Ranges and beyond.
What do you need doing. They are a a fairly simple beast to work on. I'd recommend getting the mits dirty and have a crack yourself. You can grab a manual online for guidance. And plenty of people on here willing to answer questions and provide advice.
Thanks Nick, I have now left Adelaide and currently heading to Flinders Ranges. I got Micks Motorcycles in Gawler to give Mo the once over.
Good luck and have a blast! Ride safe.

Just a pic of my 07 750. I'm loaded down on a trip to Washington, DC in this photo.
OK so I was wondering how hard it would be to modify a 250r control switch to put on my 350x. I can't find any good condition switches for a 350 but on eBay you can buy brand new 250 control switches. Input please
Hey Tyler Davis I got my '86 - '87 200X LH switch in the mail today, & it will work on the 350X. You only have to rewire one plug, using the existing connectors on the 350X switch assembly. There is also one extra green wire, which can be taped off. It'll make sense when you are looking at it. I can send you pic's if you get stuck. Cheers!
Thanks I'll have to get one then

The Dark Hedges near Armoy, Co Antrim,
First ride out with the screen spoiler. The main screen is a Givi 303st and the spoiler is the MRA Vario touring. First impressions are positive. Previously I was getting a lot of buffering right on my helmet. Now the spoiler has lifted the air flow right up over my head. Still messing around with the settings and I aim to drill the holes in the screen to make it more permanent.
is they any bigger tank i can get for one of these :D
Physically tank bolts straight on but you need to change fuel tap unless tank comes with everything you need in which case easy swap. Its just over a year since I bought my storm, in that time I have only seen 2 tanks both were around £150. I went different way, found a 98 storm which had large tank fitted and bought it as a non runner. Minor fault, swapped tanks now will give it fresh paint a little tlc and more than get my money back :-)
I trust what you're saying Shaun, I bought my bike as it stands so I don't know what mods had to be done. I feel sorry for everyone with the 16ltr tank :(
Know how you feel, didnt know anything about the storm when I bought it, hadnt even done any research on the model before buying just really wanted one. Month after I got mine it started rattling like a good un, was still using bike every day tearing about on it. Joined vtr1000.org guys were jumping about OMG dont ride it! CCT's! got lucky though, new cct's and all was good. After riding out with a few of the vtr guys and gals and comparing notes found I was putting more fuel in at stops than some, dont know if bike has any mods in past jets etc do know finding this larger tank attached to a bike I originally bought to break was welcomed lol
