  • with your seat off, disconnect the indicators and brake light, then remove the rear cowl. That will uncover the ignition control module and the flasher relay located to the rhs of the bike. Refer to the workshop manual mate!!!

  • Thats the one i got Dean....dont cut anything Steven Lancaster, get this and it just plugs in, your flasher unit is on the right side behind the rear fairing.

  • Thanks guys it is sorted as it should be with no cutting the part i bought was the correct one edward helped me on messenger :) thanks again all

Hey guys I have a question — HONDA XR125L and HONDA XR150L Community - Philippines

Hey guys I have a question,

Gaano ba kadalas i-adjust ang idle nang XR125L natin? Kanina I went to Jala jala and I decided to check on my XR125L. Thank you for your inputs. :)

Marami akong natutunan. :)

CT110 custom with aftermarket risers and ape hanger bars, aftermarket lights and indicators, recently swapped rear shockers and near new forks. Blue racing CDI and cone air filter. Professionally painted awhile ago so does have some marks now. First two photos are in its current guise, the other three where a mock up of another idea I had. Starts easy, runs and rides well. Seat and sissy bar can be negotiated. Will need front guard and brake lever for RWC. Asking $1000. Bike is in Doncaster, Vic.

FOR SALE

scorpion stainless steel stubby exhausts, sale includes linkpipes, removable baffles and hanging brackets, these are very loud, but the baffles help some what, they have road legal markings, well they were road legal before being made into stubby's, overall very good condition but there is one dent, but that's on the inside so it's not visible when they're fitted on the bike.

the price is £120 and that includes shipping to mainland uk. I will consider shipping worldwide but just remember the shipping costs will increase.

Another question for the experts On my VF700S it is starting and idling really... — Honda V45 and V65 owners (Sabre Magna)

Another question for the experts. On my VF700S, it is starting and idling really well after rebuilding the carbs and petcock. Problem is, after it runs for around 5 minutes, it begins stumbling and then stalls. If I choke it, it will keep running. If I rev it up, it'll keep running. But if I try and let it idle with no choke, it will stall once it's warmed up.

I cleaned all of the carb parts to try and avoid buying four rebuild kits. If it's a problem at idle when warm, could that be a float and/or needle valve problem? Worst case I'll buy the kits, but I'd rather not. I'm sure not thrilled at the thought of pulling the carbs again.

Any advice would be appreciated...

  • shot in the dark...fuel filter?

  • Petcock filter is brand new.

  • Sounds like your starving for air or fule

  • sounds like something along the lines of not getting the passages completely clean on the choke area, way to test if its the choke passages, when its starts to die, applly a little bit of choke at a time, if the bike responds, you most likely still have blocked passages, also, try leaving the gas cap open when its running and see if that solves the problem ;)

  • It only does it once warmed up? Check your pilot screw setting and make sure that o ring is good. If it still does it, I wouldn't rule out a coil or stator going bad because they do the same thing when they start going bad. So check your pilot valve and check your coil(s). That is where I would start.

Been using the Honda brand hp4 for past oil changes for some reason I decided to try something different I bought some spectro 4 and put it in now my clutch is slipping. Bike only has 11000 on it. Could my oil be causing the slippage?

  • Troy, you want to always use manufactured products, its formulated for ening and wet clutch drive train system.

  • sorry, I meant......engine!

  • Felix thanks i learned my lesson on this. I always use Honda brand everything. But i tried something new that is for wet clutch as well but i paid the price. I changed the oil today and it still slips when I get on it. I'm gonna run it a few more times and change it again and hope to get all the old oil out. If that doesn't do the trick I guess I'm replacing the clutch. Thanks guys for your help.

Britt Cain shared his video to the group: Honda V45 and V65 owners (Sabre/Magna). — Honda V45 and V65 owners (Sabre Magna)

Just rebuilt the petcock with a rebuild kit. Does this amount of fuel flow look correct?

  • Since the automatic fuel valve will open up more with engine vacuum, you may want to try this test again and rev the engine to observe an increase in fuel flow. If everything is right, there should be an increase when you rev the engine. All of this just ensures that the carbs won't starve for fuel when you open it up.

  • Advice though, add a two or three foot section of fuel line so that you can at least drain it into a container. This way, you can still observe the flow and not make a mess.

  • On this setup, there is no fuel pump. All fuel activity is gravity-feed/siphon-feed. The square device is an automatic fuel valve. When there is no vacuum applied to it, a spring-loaded diaphram cuts off the fuel supply. The valve will permit different gradiated fuel flows at different vacuum conditions. I found from experience that you should ensure that the fuel valve and vacuum lines are completely free from air leaks. If someone has a problem with fuel flow, tank debris and vacuum leaks are the most probable cause.
