    • Ravi in simple words i am telling u zmr price is 100000 or above and P220 price around 80000 and P220 also win the prize of India no. 1 sports bike no.1 means that no.1 zmr having lot of plastic and its very costly pulsur having less plastic.and pulsur having a top speed of 150 above and zmr arond 140 to 143 only in one case zmr having some good pts only its average arond 35 to 38 and p220 30 to 36. So this is matter.

    • ^^pulsar can't go till 150k's no matter what & also its not a sports bike..bajaj guys r faking customers to calling it a sports bike..

    • @Nikhil.. bajaj engines are gruff engines and the gear box gives problem aftr 40k kms.. zmr price is 1.14 lakh on road in Bangalore and P220 is 94k

I want to relocate my rear turn signal lights (2009) to accommodate larger saddle bags. Any suggestions?

    • I bought bags with led tail lights on them, couldn't find a good relocation kit

    • if your handy with tools i used the saddlemen relcation kit. There are no specific instructions for this but if you understand the concept you can do it. I know have 21 inch bags on my aero. Or try www.shadowaero750.com and check out the "mods" page. Good people there on the forum

    • There are license plate frames that have turn signals mounted on the sides. I just bought some aluminum plate and cut some pieces that mount to where the signal mounts and the lights just move about 4 inches back, then polish the aluminum with a buffing wheel. Kinda follow the curve of the chrome piece under the rear seat.

    • I had the old man install led lights in my larger saddle bags cost me $20.

    • I posted those somewhere on here, and there is alot of them on my fb page.

    • I posted a pic of the Vulcan I had. I wonder if they shared frames and or parts, take the badging off and they are pretty dang close to the same bike!

    • well then it looks like it's time to put the bike on the rack

    • I ride mine all year, pretty much every day so I check stuff quite often on mine.

looking for a website that gives step by step on front wheel removal on a 98 Shadow 750

    • I just posted a link to a youtube video on removing the front wheel. this is on a cbr, the basics are the same. no videos for a shadow.

    • It is an easy task if you have some mechanical ability, although, if you have never turned a wrench I would suggest taking it to a shop. I will try to explain the steps for my shadow and it should be close to the same. Put the bike on the stand and jack up the front part of the frame to get the tire off the ground. Some pieces of wood or a bottle jack works well. (I use a jack stand on mine). Next, Remove the 2 brake calipers from the lower forks.(by the book, tie them up so they are not hanging by the hoses), Next, remove the pinch bolt or bolts on the fork or forks depending on if you have 1 or 2. I have seen some with a chrome cap that must be removed to expose the head of the bolt. next, remove the axle. on mine the end of the axle rod on the clutch lever side is threaded. loosen past the threads and then pull out while holding a bit of upward pressure on the wheel. On mine I could just pull the speedo cap off the wheel and leave it on the bike. I know that some cables screw in, some have set screws and some have clips. If you have spacers between the wheel and forks, make a note of where they go. Reassemble in reverse order. I hope this has been some help. Im going off my 1985 honda shadow vt700c. Yours should be close to the same. Good Luck

    • I DO love it!! :) It's a bit bigger than I thought I'd be comfortable with, but the ride is smooth!

    • When my wife got her endorsement, we started looking. She can ride my 99 1100 aero, but I have to take all the preload out of the rear shocks. She sat on a few 750's but the one she felt the most comfortable on was a vtx 1300........... needless to say, we are still looking........ man's law states " she cannot have a bike bigger than Ye "

When I first got my 04 Shadow Aero VT750 9 mths ago, I read a lot of reviews to get a feel for what I was getting into, also to be able to compare my machine to the typical stock model, making sure I didn't buy a crapper. Nonetheless, I've been 95% impressed and very happy with my purchase. And she's my first bike, too!! (I learned riding a buddy's 97 Magna on the weekends the first 6 mths.)

So I read a lot about sportbikes (with no actual experience on one), and notice they of course can take corners a lot faster and leaned in a lot tighter than a cruiser does.

Well on the reviews for my year and model Shadow one of the few drawbacks was about the ground clearance due to the legs scraping in tight turns.

So my question is if I've scraped my pegs a handful of times, and know exactly how far down that is (enough to avoid it when I want to, and enough to know when and where I'll scrape if I'm ok with is - I never want to do that with my wife on the back), am I pushing it over decently far for a new rider and new to the bike, or is this fairly normal/common for this year/model on the Aero??

    • I must be doing something wrong, only get 45 mpg. ): carb has been rejetted to prevent bluing of pipes.

    • Yeah, I get around 45. But *sometimes* I ride it harder than I should. I went ridin with a buddy 2 weekends ago (he has a Hayabusa sportbike) and I hit reserve at a hundred miles. But I was doing 80-90 almost the entire time, with lots of floored acceleration, passing vehicles and what-not.

    • Kenton, I average about the same MPG as you, and I too ride mine pretty hard...

hey everybody i got a problem with my shadow It all started i was going down... — HONDA SHADOW RIDERS FORUM

hey everybody i got a problem with my shadow. It all started i was going down the road about a mile and it bogged out really bad and killed and i went to restart it and it cranked and cranked and cranked and finally after a couple mins i got it fired up. Then and now it will crank and crank and crank and then it starts clicking meaning the battery is to low to fire the bike up. It did that the other night and the next morning it fired up and i rode for about an hour and then parked it for like 5 10 mins and it was dead again. Buddys at work and me think its a bad cell in the battery or starter or loose wire connection somewhere. What you guys think?

    • My 98 VT750 has a sticky starter button too, I didn't know that & put in a new rectifier & a new battery. Had an accident & off the bike for 3 months & a cell in the battery died & it went flat real fast, even after a decent ride. I put in a new (decent) battery & now it fires like a charm. Thh I am in the process of putting in a plug that allows me to either, run something off the battery, or make it easy to charge.

    • I took the battery totally out of the bike and trickle charged it for a good 9 hrs and then I put it back in the bike and it was hesitant at first then my bike fired right up and I took it to my mecanhic and he said everythings running great batterys 100% and I told him what I did with the battery and he said you probally just fixed the problem right there and he put a switch in so you can turn the highway lights on or off and not running that extra voltage 24/7. That's what I got for now. I will post if something else is happening with it. Thank you for all the posts and ideas. Honda Shadow riders have to stick together

    • yeah.. it sort of seemed like the prob that i had a few months back aye Steve Zammit?? my prob was the solenoid mate!

    • Possibly a dumb question: how do you get bags/backpacks hitched up to your backrest the way you do, high up like that?

I have a backrest and short luggage rack behind it on my '04 750 Aero, and backrest but no rack on my 2000 1100 ACE T, and all I do now is use short bungees to hold to the backrest or rack. What am I missing??

    • Nice setup, btw!

    • The "trunk" sets on the luggage rack that is part of the backrest and I used alum strap to build stiffeners inside it so the bag doesn't droop, other than that it is attached with the straps that were included with the trunk. as far as the saddle bags, I used the "hard mounts" from Willie and Maxx. Posted a link to them in Tony Nall's question about saddle bags above.
