Thanks Bill. We are taking a mate and his wife up on their z1000sx who have never been north of the border before. Just 260 miles to Mauchline tomorrow before the west coast road to Oban ,then on to Lochness on Sunday.
Dumfries to Mauchline tomorrow. Over the Erskine bridge Sunday to Tarbet-Arrochar-A83 A816 coastal to Oban-Fort William- Foyes which is half way along Loch Ness. Monday day trip to Skye/Applecross time permitting and weather. Tuesday A82-Tyndrum -A85-Loch Tay-Pitlochry-Aberdour on the banks of the Forth overlooking Edinburgh. Thursday A7-down into Cumbria and over the Hartside Pass, then down past Ullswater to Ambleside for 2 nights and maybe do a couple of walks.
Have a safe ride guys , i hope you have left some space for clothes ect Rob Cuffling and not just packed cleaning stuff.

Dumfries to Mauchline! You must ride up the Dalveen pass. Then back again. You can make good progress on that road;)

Hartside needs to be from penrith to the top ! It's the best ride ever:)
Just back from southern Ireland. Slea head was amazing
I've done it that way once Tim, 6yrs ago on my Capo following one mate on a ZZR14 and the other on a ZX6. 3 times in the other direction.
I stay in prestwick so close to you. Where are you staying sat night ?
We are in the Black Bull at Tarbolton Sat night.

We're taking the long way up from Lincoln. A1- Whetherby , Otley, Ilkley, Kirby Lonsdale (Devils bridge for a cuppa) M6 M74- Gretna- Dumfries- Tarbolton. So taking in the edge of the Dales to break up the journey.
