• Question I just had my chain adjusted turning the rear wheel it feels a little...

Question , I just had my chain adjusted , turning the rear wheel it feels a little tight but close to a normal amount of play in one section, as I roll the bike forward the chain becomes very tight with hardly no play to no play at all, should I take it back and ask the mechanic to loosen the adjustment a bit or leave it alone and let it loosen by itself in one hundred to two hundred miles or so. This chain is pretty new replaced towards the beginning of the summer it might just have about right under one thousand miles on it. as the chain turns it becomes to tight in one section , it was like that before but after the mechanic had tightened the adjustment it is far worse , there is no play in one section of chain.

    • Sounds like you might have a couple tight links to me man

    • a new chain needs to bed in, so just keep a eye on it. if it feels to slack give the adjusters a tweak

    • when you do tweak it it only needs a fine tuning turn on them. the chain should have a bit of slack at its center on the bottom run!about half to three quarters of an inch(12 to 18mm)

    • The problem is that as the chain turns it becomes to tight in one section.

    • You probably have, but I just gotta say, check the sprockets. If you had to replace the chain, the sprockets are probably worn too.
