So took the Grom to the garage today to get the electrics looked at, as been having a few issues.. Turns out both my Neutral switch and my brake light switch are both buggered and needing replaced.. Anyone else had This issue? I don't abuse the bike. Just mostly use it to commute back and forward to work...

    • The build quality of the MSX is poor, and when you complain the dealers say...

    • For that reason I chose not to take it to Honda and went to a different garage

    • Mines started flashing the N when in neutral and sometimes staying solid and when I put the stand down even though it's in neutral it cuts off ?

    • That's the issue Jason..... Bike runs fine but it's just annoying it's not perfect! Neutral switch is fucked...

    • They are small electrical parts, water gets in and causes faults, personally I would put that down to wear and tear, the micro switches used are probably the same ones used in most of Hondas bikes

    • Should be easy enough to remove both, get a bit of contact cleaner on the relevant parts, then some oil/ACF50 to keep them good, and reassemble. My ignition switch was once a bit corroded, registered about 80 Ohms when on, hence wasn't enabling the ECU. A good does of ACF50 and turing it on/off a few dozen times (with lock disconnected from the loom) cleaned it up nicely, then it worked first time :)

    • Garage can do it
