• Thinking about cutting the stock exhaust right where it begins tapering back...

    Thinking about cutting the stock exhaust right where it begins tapering back down. Any issues with stock jetting if I do so? Already removed the rear baffle out with no problems...... it's an 86 250

    • i cut mine in the same place but welded a 6 inch tail pipe on, plus i removed the airbox and fgitted k and ns ,,i had to re jet to stage one jets,,,but it breaths and runs better than stock,,although,,forget the consumption lol

    • The only real way to tell if you will need to rejett your carb is to keep a eye on your sparkplugs !!

    • Well, I've made the cut and removed another baffle! Sounds better and runs well!! I'll get a video when I get a chance..... happy I can actually hear my exhaust over the air box lol

    • Yes, it does sometimes but that's ok, it runs perfect, no power lost.

    • Did you cut it already if not mine are cut already I'll trade ya it's to loud for my son to ride with me he is noise sensitive
