Was coming back from a run out earlier on the motor way doing xxx mph in the third lane when the bike seemed to skip a beat as if it was running out of fuel then just cut out , not good at that speed lol pulled clutch in and coasted onto the hard shoulder tried starter engine turned slow ,turned all lights off left it a min and tried again it turned over and fired up but it felt like one cylinder I'm thinking one's better than non and set off after a few seconds it was ok again, got nearly home and it started cutting out ,kept restarting and I got home left it ticking over and it seems to be hunting a bit checked the gasses from the exhaust the right side looking from the back was pretty cold compared it to my mates vtr who had been with me and his was warmer I was thinking fuel problem what do you guys think cheers

    • I'd go with fuel ... Check all fuel lines and vacuum hoses if your fuel line is near anything hot try and move it as it can vaporise the fuel starving one of the carbs

    • Maybe it's because it's not yellow.!!

    • Ha ha Dean Grice there's a yellow one in my garage, where do you think the plugs are coming from DICK head

    • Hahahaha

    • Lol, n1

    • Hahaha good answer

    • Why Will it Dean yours isn't

    • I had this with mine, check and recheck your vac pipes

    • Thanks I will have the tank off tomorrow

    • Regulator maybe also melted connection

    • If you replace the vacuum pipes, use a silicone hose. It's easier to fit/remove.

    • Vapour lock...Had this with one of mine once. Popped the fule cap & it sorted it out...It was after a good few miles post filling up. Blow through the tank vents to make sure they are clear. They can get clogged at the bottom where they come out by the belly pan....

    • Thanks guys I will be busy later

    • Did you sort your problem out?

    • Not had tme to look yet Bryn

    • Ok let us know outcome.
