When putting the front wheel back on, do I need to tourque the axle bolt down while it's on the front paddock stand or lower it onto the ground and then tourque it?

  • Torque it before putting it back on the ground

  • Torque it on the floor. Not on the stand as it's likely to fall off stand.

  • Dont be silly!

  • It should be torqued without weight on it!

  • Love the tyres

  • Do it on the floor. These arn't tapered roller bearings that would be damaged by weight. Don't listen to Andy the troll.

  • tighten it a bit by hand on the stand, then put it on the floor, push the front brake and dive the fork in and out a couple times, then finaly tighten it with torque.....that is how you prevent tensions, same done on big bikes
